Notion: The ultimate productivity hack

Introduction

I used to think I was organized. Naturally, I’m not. But that didn’t matter when it came down to productivity hacks. They were all over the place – and they were working just fine for me. Then one day, a friend told me that I had no system for keeping track of everything. He was right: I didn’t have anything set up in advance and there was no way for anyone else to keep track of what I did or needed doing unless we talked about it in person or on the phone every single time something popped up at work or home (which would be rare since we’re both busy people). After hearing this feedback from my friend and thinking about it some more, I realized that if there’s one thing that makes someone truly productive it’s having some sort of system in place so they can always know what needs doing next and how far along they are with everything else on their plate at any given moment!

Taking notes

Taking notes is a key part of being productive. It helps you to remember things, focus on the task at hand and be more creative. Taking notes also helps you learn and retain information better because it forces you to think more clearly.

In fact, taking notes is so important that some believe it should be taught as a skill in school alongside reading and writing. If teachers had just taught us how our brains work we’d all be able to remember things better!

Organizing your notes

If you’re a visual person, like me, one of the best ways to organize your notes is by using a database. I use Evernote for this purpose because it’s free and easy to use. You can create as many notebooks as you want and then add notes (which are called “evernotes”) into those notebooks. For example: I have an evernote called “Ideas” where I put all my ideas related specifically to Notion; another evernote called “Website Development” where I store my website development plans; another called “Projects” where all my project-related information lives; etcetera…

Keeping track of your tasks and projects

Task managers and project management tools are different. Task managers are for personal tasks, while project management tools are for team projects. You can use either one or both to keep track of your tasks and projects, but they will have some overlap in functionality.

Task managers help you organize your day-to-day tasks so that you can be more efficient with your time. They usually come with features such as:

  • A calendar view so that you can see what’s coming up next (or already happened) in an easy-to-read format
  • An inbox where all new tasks go when added by another person or yourself
  • An archive where completed items go after being completed

Collaborating with others

Collaborating with others is the ultimate productivity hack. It’s a key ingredient to success, and it can be difficult if you’re not collaborating properly.

If you want to collaborate with others, there are many tools available that can help:

  • A project management tool like Asana or Trello will allow you to manage your projects in one place and keep track of what everyone involved is doing. This makes it easier for your team members to stay on task and complete their individual tasks quickly and efficiently – which means more time for them on their own personal goals!
  • A note-taking tool like Evernote allows each person involved in a project (or just two people) access from anywhere at any time so they can work together remotely without missing anything important during conversations via phone calls or email exchanges back-and-forth between parties involved with said project(s).

The best way to get things done is by taking notes, organizing them and keeping track of everything.

It’s a simple concept that requires you to sit down and actually write down what needs to be done in order for it to get done. You might think that this would take time away from getting anything else done but in reality, it will help you become more productive because now all your thoughts are written down on paper instead of floating around inside your head where they can’t be accessed or remembered easily.

Conclusion

The key to getting things done is by taking notes, organizing them and keeping track of everything. It’s not easy, but with Notion it can be fun!
